Home Life and Chips

I am the one,
The committer of crimes
And the writer of rhymes.
I have the fun.

I ate the chips.
In vinegar and salt
And crunch I exult.
Spare me the dips.

My dear wife was peeved.
She'd hoped for a bite,
But the previous night
My magic I weaved.  [That's a euphemism for gittin' all piggy with the chips.]

Goodbye, Mr. Chips?

I'm not sure I catch your reference. Could you help a guy out?

Sorry to be obtuse. I am sure you have seen the movie or read the book Goodbye, Mr. Chips . It just seemed the appropriate comment for someone chastised for eating all the chips.

No, I don't think I've ever seen that. It sounds vaguely familiar, but I don't even know what kind of movie it is.

John said...,_Mr._Chips It is actually a quite good move with Peter O'Toole in the title role. I recommend it.

That sounds like something right up my alley. We'll get it on Netflix. Or maybe I'll get the book. We'll see.
