Thanks to Those Men

Liberty is a painstaking business
Earned by some and enjoyed by others.
It doesn't depend on one man's fitness,
But hangs on the thread of some men's druthers.

And yet, to endure, more men must do battle
Against their dull boredom and sad apathy,
Raising bright colors for everyday freedom,
Striking a blow for the present to be.

The post is nicely done, it is giving me much to think about that I would love to be able to put into words, but they escape me.

Thanks for writing them.

Thanks John. My wife and I, with our family growing, are thinking a lot about the liberty of 'everyday' in 21st century America. It's easy to cede a great deal of it for the sake of convenience and to avoid low level conflict.
